This bag contains 12 Inari Age いなりあげ (pronounced inali – ague), fried soy pockets seasoned with soy sauce and mirin. These pockets of fried tofu with a sweet/salty taste are used to make inarizushi: this preparation consists of a pocket of fried tofu filled with a ball of vinegar rice, the same as for sushi.
